Vanilla Cupcakes

Ingredients

160g golden caster sugar
160g Self Raising Flour
1 tsp baking power
1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda
1/2 tsp salt
200ml milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
60ml Brock and Morten Natural Rapeseed oil
1 egg

Method

Pre-heat your oven to around 180 degrees. Line a cupcake tin with cupcake cases ready for the mixture.

In a mixing bowl add the sugar, flour, baking powder, bicarbonate soda and salt. Mix thoroughly to combine all the ingredients.

Add all of the remaining ingredients to the dry mixture and mix thoroughly.

Once combined, add the mixture to the cupcake cases until they are around 2/3 full. Bake for 18 minutes and leave to cool before decorating.

We love this recipe as a quick and easy bake to do with children. You can decorate the tops in any way you like. We can recommend an easy icing sugar and butter frosting, or even melted chocolate.
